With a Canadian setting, the Mennonites at first didn’t pay much attention to their country’s new prime minister. Life was good. They were prosperous. Then one Sunday morning everything changed. Officers entered the church building and took all the young men ages 18 to 25 to be enrolled in the Youth Employment Program. Can any of them get CO status?
This book is not to make you feel bad about yourself or your church. Nevertheless, it is a deliberate attempt to nudge the sluggish conscience and to give a wakeup call to the Laodiceans of our day who have gradually grown lukewarm and smug through ease and prosperity.
